Ellie started her first company in 1983, focused on corporate software training and specializing in global implementations of ERP systems, primarily SAP and PeopleSoft. Over the past 20 years, Ellie has started multiple companies, primarily focused on leadership development, executive retreats and chief executive peer teams.
Ellie joined Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization (YEO) in 1995 to help her take her software training company to the next level. With a strong background in training, facilitation and curriculum development, she began facilitating both forum and corporate retreats in the late 1990’s. During the last 20 years, Ellie has led thousands of leadership programs worldwide to groups of all sizes, tackling a variety of topics from strategic planning and leadership development to goal-setting and accountability. Her entrepreneurial spirit and business experience provide a unique blend of skills and knowledge for working with leadership teams.
Ellie has trained over 2,000 members and facilitated retreats for more than over 400 forums. She has spoken at numerous chapter events, regional events, moderator summits and universities. She led the forum track at the EO GLC for seven years.
Ellie maintains homes in both Atlanta and Seattle, spending time in both cities every month. A classically trained concert pianist, Ellie enjoys playing piano at conferences, churches and elder-care facilities, blending her passion for music with a message of joyful perseverance.
Specialties
Over the past 20 years, Ellie has traveled to 34 countries on five continents, gathering tools, processes and alternative formats for healthy, mature forums. Ellie assembled and documented her learnings into a program called Forum 2.0. She has certified a small team of facilitators to help forums learn and implement Forum 2.0 processes, taking their forum to new heights.
